✍️ Composing & Sending
Delay Send, Schedule & Recall
1
Delay Delivery (Options tab in a new email) sets a future send time — useful for "send at 9am" scheduling
2
Enable "Undo Send" (File → Options → Mail → Undo Send) to get a few seconds to cancel after hitting Send
3
Try Recall This Message (Sent Items → open email → Message → Actions) — only works if the recipient is on the same Exchange server and hasn't read it yet
4
Set High Importance flags sparingly (Message tab → red exclamation) — overuse trains recipients to ignore it
Attachments & Cloud Links
1
Attaching a OneDrive file shares it as a link by default — recipients edit the live file, no duplicate copies
2
Outlook warns you if your email mentions "attached" but has no file — a small but handy save
3
Set link permissions (view/edit) right from the attachment dropdown before sending

🛠️ Troubleshooting
Common Outlook Problems
1
Stuck in Outbox / won't send: Check attachment size limits, or a corrupted item — try moving it to Drafts and resending
2
Outlook running slow: Compact your mailbox (File → Account Settings → Data Files → Settings → Compact Now) and check mailbox size against your quota
3
Search not finding old emails: Rebuild the search index: Control Panel → Indexing Options → Advanced → Rebuild
4
Repeated password prompts: Often a saved-credential issue — clear cached credentials in Windows Credential Manager and re-enter
5
Calendar invites not syncing: Check that the correct calendar is set as default and your account isn't in Cached Exchange Mode conflict
